We are looking for a well experienced Food Services Manager for a well-known eatery “Vibo Restaurant & Cafe” located at 2995 Bloor Street West, Etobicoke, ON M8X 1C1, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
Plan, organize, direct and evaluate all aspects of Vibo’s food service operations, including dining, take-out and event services, to ensure profitability and service excellence.
Determine the types of services to be offered (e.g., seasonal menus, catering packages, special events) and implement operational procedures and standards that reflect Vibo’s brand and market positioning.
Recruit, hire and train kitchen and front‐of‐house staff ; set performance goals, monitor staff productivity and conduct performance reviews.
Establish staff work schedules across kitchen, service and catering functions; monitor and adjust assignments to meet service demands (lunch/dinner rush, event catering) while controlling labour costs.
Manage inventory of food, beverage and kitchen supplies; negotiate with suppliers for food and other provisions; control costs, minimize waste and optimise stock levels in alignment with forecasting and menu planning.
Oversee menu planning in collaboration with the kitchen team: review existing menu items for quality, cost and customer feedback; approve new recipes and specials; ensure portion control and cost‐effectiveness.
Supervise cooking operations and support chef/cook team: assist with preparation of signature dishes as needed, ensure food production meets Vibo’s standards of quality, presentation and safety.
Ensure full compliance with health, hygiene, safety; conduct regular inspections of kitchen, service and storage areas; address any non‐compliance immediately.
Resolve guest complaints and service issues, maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and lead initiatives for service improvement and staff training to enhance guest experience.
Lead catering and event services: negotiate arrangements with clients for banquets, receptions or off-site functions; coordinate service logistics, staffing and menu execution to meet client specifications.
Oversee equipment maintenance and facility operations: ensure kitchen appliances, refrigeration, ovens and service areas are maintained, repaired or replaced as needed to avoid service interruptions.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelors in Hospitality & Hotel Administration or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 5 years or above experience in the Hotel Industry or equivalent.
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $36.00 to $37.00 for 30 to 44 hours per week.
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
