By accessing or using Horizon Job Connect, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website.

1. ABOUT HORIZON JOB CONNECT

Horizon Job Connect is an independent Canadian online job advertising platform that helps employers advertise genuine employment opportunities and helps job seekers discover and apply for jobs.

Horizon Job Connect provides the technology and advertising platform through which employers and job seekers can connect.

Horizon Job Connect is not:

• An employer of job seekers using the platform
• A staffing or placement agency
• A recruitment agency
• A representative of employers or job seekers
• A party to any employment relationship created through the website

Employers make their own recruitment and hiring decisions.

Job seekers make their own decisions about which employment opportunities they wish to pursue.

2. EMPLOYER RESPONSIBILITIES

Employers using Horizon Job Connect must ensure that every job advertisement represents a genuine employment opportunity.

Employers are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information about their business
• Posting accurate and current job information
• Clearly describing job duties and responsibilities
• Providing the correct work location
• Providing accurate wage or salary information
• Identifying reasonable qualifications and experience requirements
• Providing clear application instructions
• Reviewing applications they receive
• Communicating professionally with applicants
• Conducting their own interviews and candidate assessments
• Making their own hiring decisions

Horizon Job Connect does not direct employers to hire or reject any particular candidate.

4. JOB SEEKER RESPONSIBILITIES

Job seekers may use Horizon Job Connect to search for employment opportunities, create or maintain profiles, prepare resumes and apply for available positions.

Job seekers are responsible for ensuring that information they provide is truthful and accurate.

Job seekers must not:

• Submit false qualifications or employment history
• Misrepresent their identity
• Provide fraudulent documents

• Use another person's account without authorization
• Misuse employer contact information
• Use the platform for unlawful purposes

Job seekers are responsible for evaluating employment opportunities and deciding whether to apply.

5. JOB ADVERTISEMENTS

Employers are responsible for the content of their own job advertisements.

A job posting should provide sufficient information for candidates to understand the employment opportunity, including where appropriate:

• Work location
• Wage or salary
• Hours of work
• Employment type
• Required experience
• Education or certification requirements
• Application instructions

Horizon Job Connect may review, edit, suspend or remove advertisements that appear inaccurate, misleading, incomplete, unlawful, inappropriate or inconsistent with these Terms.

6. EMPLOYER AND JOB SEEKER ACCOUNTS

Certain features may require users to create an account.

Users are responsible for:

8. NO GUARANTEE OF APPLICATIONS OR HIRING

We do not guarantee:

• That an applicant will meet an employer's requirements

• That a job seeker will receive an interview

Hiring decisions are made solely by employers.

9. NO ENDORSEMENT OF EMPLOYERS OR CANDIDATES

The presence of a job advertisement on Horizon Job Connect does not constitute an endorsement of the employer.

Similarly, the presence of a job seeker profile, resume or application does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of the candidate.

Employers are responsible for conducting whatever reasonable verification, interviews, reference checks or other assessments they consider appropriate.

Job seekers should independently evaluate employers and employment opportunities before accepting a position or providing sensitive information.

10. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

Users may not use Horizon Job Connect to:

• Post fake or non-existent jobs
• Engage in fraud or misrepresentation
• Collect personal information for unrelated purposes
• Promote unlawful activities
• Distribute malware or harmful software
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems
• Scrape or copy website content without authorization
• Send spam or unsolicited commercial communications
• Harass or threaten other users
• Discriminate unlawfully
• Misrepresent an employer, business or candidate
• Interfere with the proper operation of the website

Horizon Job Connect may suspend or terminate access where misuse is suspected.
