We are looking for a well-experienced Supervising Chef to work for Sula Indian Restaurant Main Street located at 4172 Main St, Vancouver, BC V5V 3P7, Canada. However, you may be required to work at various locations in the region.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervise all chefs, including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep staff, delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring consistent execution across all kitchen stations.
Refine and standardize recipes and preparation methods, setting clear culinary benchmarks for flavour, presentation, and portion control.
Oversee the use and maintenance of all specialized Indian cooking equipment, establishing handling protocols and ensuring optimal kitchen productivity.
Manage inventory oversight at a senior level, setting purchasing guidelines, evaluating supplier quality, and ensuring cost-efficient procurement of essential ingredients.
Lead and guide the entire kitchen team, establishing expectations for culinary excellence, consistency, and operational efficiency.
Define and uphold the restaurant’s Indian culinary vision by developing signature dishes and seasonal menus that balance authenticity with innovation.
Implement, enforce, and monitor strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices to ensure full compliance with health and safety standards.
Collaborate with management on strategic menu planning, promotions, and special events, aligning culinary direction with business goals.
Mentor, train, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a high-performance culture built on teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Conduct formal performance evaluations, recognizing achievements, providing actionable feedback, and identifying opportunities for staff development.
Serve as the senior authority in the kitchen, resolving operational issues promptly and maintaining seamless, high-quality service throughout all meal periods.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary school or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more
Language: English
Other skills;
Good Knowledge of Indian Cuisine
Good supervising skills
Annual Salary: $57,100 to $69,000 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
