Overview
We are seeking two experienced Mechanical Engineering Technicians to join our team in Guelph, Ontario.
The ideal candidate has an electro-mechanical background, a minimum of 2 years industry related experience (petroleum, coal, gas products) and a minimum of 2 years experience in installation, testing, repair and maintenance of mechanical machinery. Local Canadian travel is required as is international travel. We have global interests and our head office is situated in Italy.
Qualified candidates will be given preference if they:
1. Have legal status (with work authorisation) in Canada
2. Have a working knowledge of both English and Italian
Responsibiities include:
• Assist the Field Service Supervisor and all the colleagues belonging to his zone, for what concerns monitoring and maintenance activities related to all plants of the assigned area.
• Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations.
• Assist in performing the required range of analyses, mechanical tests, maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Participate in the installing, repairing and maintenance of the machinery and equipment.
• Read blueprints and drawings
• Realize autonomously ordinary maintenance in line with the scheduling agreed with the SAM
• Ensure competences in order to perform maintenance activities
• Increase competences about different type of breakdowns
• Responsible for providing customer service directly on sites
• In case of need, support the dedicated team for what concerns extraordinary maintenance
• Be operative and reachable when availability is required
• Pay attention to all assigned materials necessary for maintenance actions, informing the SAM in case of need of further material
• Working and learning independently and as a co-operative team member
• Assure the continuous and correct operation of the plant
• Realize maintenance on time, being punctual and precise
• Listen to customers' request and, in cooperation with the Service Area Manager, operate in order to satisfy their needs
• Keep the plant clean and tidy
