(First - Sous Chef)
We are looking for a well experienced First - Sous Chef for Magna Golf Club located at 14780 Leslie Street Aurora, ON L4G 7C3 Canada.

Duties:
Serve as the senior operational leader of the kitchen, overseeing daily execution for member dining, tournaments, and high-profile private events.
Direct and coordinate the work of sous chefs, chef de parties, and kitchen teams, establishing service priorities and ensuring seamless station coordination.
Assume full kitchen leadership in the absence of the Executive Chef, making real-time decisions related to service flow, staffing, and operational issues.
Maintain hands-on oversight of food preparation during peak services and major events to safeguard quality, timing, and presentation standards.
Plan and manage daily production schedules, mise en place strategies, and staffing deployment based on reservations, tournament schedules, and projected demand.
Enforce refined standards for food quality, portion control, consistency, and presentation expected in a private luxury club environment.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef on seasonal menu execution, tastings, and special-event offerings, ensuring readiness and flawless delivery.
Monitor food and labour costs by managing staffing efficiency, yield control, and waste reduction while maintaining premium service levels.
Mentor and evaluate senior kitchen staff, building leadership depth, accountability, and a culture of excellence within the culinary team.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelor’s in Hotel Management or equivalent.
Experience: 5+ years or more in the food industry equivalent experience.
Hourly Wage: $36 to $38 per hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
