Specific Skills:
· Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver goods and products safely and on time.
· Load and unload goods while ensuring proper handling and secure placement of items.
· Assemble, install, and set up delivered merchandise or products at customer locations when required.
· Maintain accurate records of items picked up and delivered, including delivery confirmations.
· Record trip-related information such as vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any issues encountered during deliveries.
· Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
· Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries and interactions with clients.
· May scan and sort freight or cargo for delivery
· May assemble, install or set-up delivered goods or merchandise
· May communicate with central dispatch using mobile communications equipment.
