Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technician
Roadrunner Dent Repair is a family owned and operated company in the Greater Toronto Area. We have a shop in the west end of Toronto where we service retail customers. In addition, we provide onsite service for several Bodyshops and Dealers and Fleet operators in the GTA. We also provide hail damage repairs for commercial and retail customers all across Canada. Some travel may be required during the peak hail season (June-October).
At this time Roadrunner Dent Repair is looking to hire an experienced PDR Technician to join our team.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent (35-40 hours per week)
Start date: As soon as possible
Work location: 22 Randolph Avenue, Toronto, ON, M6P 3L8 (and various client sites within the GTA)
Salary: $36.00 to $39.00 per hour

Responsibilities
Accurately assess paint integrity as well as the size, depth and shape of the dent in order to determine if the damage is suitable for PDR;
Clarify and agree on expectations for the repair and the cost of the repair with customer;
Assess and remove any trim panels in order to gain access to back of panel;
Determine best tools to use based on size of access opening, the shape and size of the dent and necessary leverage;
Hammer down any crowned areas on the panel while simultaneously pushing up low areas from the back of the panel;
Use glue and tabs with slide hammer and lifters when access to back not available;
Slowly massage metal back into place without damaging the original paint;
Blend the repaired area into the rest of the panel with blending hammer;
Reinstall any trim panels, lights, liners, etc.;
Remove repair aides like window guards, wedges, door props etc.;
Buff and polish to restore panel to pre-damage condition;
Provide estimates both at the shop for retail customers and onsite for wholesale customers;
Travel to our wholesale customers locations within the GTA to provide onsite repairs.
Requirements
Secondary school diploma;
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paintless Dent Repair Technician;
Must be able to fix complicated dents with professional level finishing skills without supervision;
Must have extensive experience with specific hail damage repair techniques;
Must have experience working with the specialized tools and equipment required to repair hail damaged vehicles;
Must have a valid driver’s licence and clean driving record;
Must be able to provide a clean police check;
Must have excellent ability to communicate with both retail and wholesale customers in a friendly and professional manner;
Must have own tools;
Knowledge or ReconPro estimating and invoicing software is an asset.
