UpHome Canada is looking to hire an Operations Manager to join their growing company. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for establishing objectives for the company, managing sales, business development and daily operations and representing the company at business and other official functions. UpHome’s technology is based on a European software development product headquartered in Hungary therefore advanced level of Hungarian language skills is a must. This role requires a strong sales background, a deep understanding of building automation systems, and exceptional leadership skills.

Wage: $66.00/ hour
Minimum requirements
Languages: English and Hungarian
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics. Master’s degree in the same area is an asset.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales and business development experience in senior management role
Job duties
Establish financial and administrative controls
Oversee the expansion of North American customer base
Ensure seamless integration of building automation technologies
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence
Organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
Build and lead the sales team, provide guidance, coaching, and support to maximize performance
Allocate financial resources to implement organizational policies
Coordinate the work of departments
Develop comprehensive business plans and budgets aligned with organizational goals
Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities and industry trends
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales effectiveness and operational efficiency
Collaborate with shareholders and department leads to define strategic objectives and implement business strategiesIdentify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to drive growth
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry influencers, and stakeholders
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies
Represent and act on behalf of the company at business meetings, negotiations and other official events.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or economics
Minimum of 5 years of sales and business development experience in senior management role
Fluent in English and in Hungarian
Prior exposure and in-depth knowledge of building automation systems, including HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Flexibility to travel as needed
