Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Site Preparation & Cleanup: Clean and prepare surfaces, sweep, and remove debris or old roofing materials.
Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials such as shingles, tiles, and tar to work areas.
Safety Setup: Erect scaffolding, ladders, and hoist systems.
Assisting Roofers: Pass tools and materials to roofers, mix materials, and help apply roofing materials (e.g., asphalt, shingles, tar).
Tool Operation: Operate equipment such as pneumatic nailers, hammers, and saws.
Roof Maintenance: Clear gutters, drains, and perform basic repairs.
Physical Requirements and Conditions:
Must be comfortable working at heights.
Capable of heavy lifting (up to 80 lbs).
Working in various weather conditions, including heat, wind, and cold.
Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
