Summary
Matakana Scaffolding BC Inc is urgently seeking to hire experience Scaffolding Supervisors for our busy team in Burnaby BC. In your role you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating crews of Journeymen, Apprentices and Labourers in constructing System Scaffolding, Tube and Fitting and Temporary Roof structures. Based out of the business address and dispatched to various jobsites in Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Lower Mainland, BC.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise workers and projects
Co-ordinate and schedule activities
Train or arrange for training
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Supervising job sites and crew activity following direction from Operations, Project and General Managers.
Co-ordinating the activity of crews in order to meet determined work schedules.
Ensuring safety codes and regulations are being followed and adhered to.
Ensuing that structures are constructed to code and engineering requirements.
Carrying out site inspections.
Communicating with contractors to effectively co-ordinate the crews schedules and activities.
Resolving all site related problems and making recommendations to improve work site practices.
Assist with training junior workers and apprentices.
Erect and dismantle scaffold structures as necessary.
Responsible for equipment and site vehicles.

Educational Requirements
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience Requirements
Scaffold ticket to an advanced or basic level.
Minimum of 3 years work experience with System Scaffolding, Tube and Fitting and Temporary Roofs.
Other Requirements
Ability to lift 50lbs regularly.
Detail oriented.
Ability to work under own initiative.
Valid drivers licence desirable.
First Aid Cert desirable.
WHMIS training desirable.
Work on the tools outdoors.
