Job Duties:
§ Plan menus and estimate food requirements for daily operations
§ Prepare and cook complete meals and individual food items including burritos, tacos, bowls, quesadillas, and other menu offerings
§ Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances while following food safety standards
§ Prepare and cook special meals as per customers requirement.
§ Set up and stock workstations with ingredients, sauces, toppings, and supplies before and during service
§ Operate kitchen equipment including flat grills and food preparation equipment safely and efficiently
§ Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations
§ Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment and assist with receiving and stocking deliveries
§ Train kitchen staff and helpers in food preparation, cooking, sanitation, and safe food handling procedures
§ Supervise kitchen staff and helpers during food preparation and service
§ Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards
§ Manage kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Requirements:
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and attention to detail.
