Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze budgets to improve and maintain restaurant profitability.
Develop operating budgets for food, ingredients, beverages, kitchen supplies, and cleaning materials.
Evaluate and oversee daily restaurant operations.
Review and adjust food preparation methods and menu pricing based on budget and operational requirements.
Monitor revenues and labour costs to ensure operational efficiency.
Supervise, coach, and monitor staff performance.
Plan, organize, and coordinate daily restaurant operations.
Prepare and manage employee work schedules.
Train staff in operational procedures, customer service, food safety, and workplace policies.
Balance cash, prepare balance sheets, cash reports, and related financial records.
Conduct employee performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations.
Organize, maintain, and control restaurant inventory.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Negotiate purchasing arrangements with suppliers for food and restaurant supplies.
Participate in the planning and implementation of marketing initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and instruct employees.
Resolve customer complaints and concerns professionally.
Provide exceptional customer service.
