TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Permanent, Full time, Weekends, Evening and Morning shifts
SPECIFIC SKILLS
· Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, and breads.
· Plan menus and develop new recipes while maintaining traditional flavors and quality standards.
· Estimate food requirements and order ingredients and kitchen supplies.
· Monitor food costs, inventory, and stock levels to reduce waste and control expenses.
· Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cooks and other kitchen staff.
· Train and instruct kitchen employees in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
· Ensure all meals are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards.
· Prepare and cook specialty meals for banquets, catering events, and special occasions.
· Inspect food ingredients for freshness, quality, and proper storage.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Monitor portion sizes and food quality to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
· Demonstrate proper use of kitchen equipment and introduce new cooking techniques when required.
· Maintain records of food inventory, kitchen supplies, and ingredient usage.
· Coordinate with management to plan daily specials and seasonal menu items.
· Ensure timely preparation of orders while maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and service.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school or equivalent experience
1-2 years experience is required
