We are looking for a well-experienced Catering Services Manager to work at Sula Indian Restaurant Main Street, 4172 Main St, Vancouver, BC V5V 3P7, Canada. However, you may be required to work at various locations in the region.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate, manage, and oversee the daily operations of catering services, ensuring smooth execution of off-site and on-site events including logistics, staffing, and client communication.
Assist in the development and customization of catering menus that reflect traditional Indian cuisine, seasonal ingredients, and client-specific requirements while upholding the authenticity and quality associated with Sula.
Supervise the preparation, packaging, and presentation of food items to ensure adherence to culinary standards, food safety regulations, and client expectations.
Manage procurement and inventory of catering supplies, equipment, and ingredients, ensuring optimal stock levels and implementing cost-control strategies to reduce waste and manage expenses.
Lead and supervise the catering team including chefs, kitchen staff, service attendants, and delivery personnel by providing direction, training, and performance feedback to maintain high service standards.
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations across all catering operations and event venues, following both local and industry-specific guidelines.
Create and manage staff schedules based on event requirements, ensuring appropriate coverage and high levels of efficiency for each catering function.
Serve as the primary liaison for catering clients, managing communications, addressing concerns, and ensuring a seamless and memorable catering experience aligned with Sula’s brand and service values.
Collaborate with culinary and event planning teams to coordinate logistics for large-scale functions, drawing on experience to manage timelines, setup, service flow, and breakdown efficiently.
Oversee the execution of catering services for corporate functions, weddings, private parties, and other events, ensuring timely delivery and quality control throughout.Monitor operational performance through regular reporting on budget utilization, labour costs, inventory turnover, and client satisfaction to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
Perform other related duties as assigned by senior management to support the overall growth and success of Sula’s catering division.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary school or equivalent.
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
Language: English
Annual Salary: $57,100 to $58,000 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
