Responsibilities
Tasks
The Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking complete Indian meals and specialty dishes according to the restaurant’s authentic recipes and quality standards. Duties include developing and modifying menus, ensuring food presentation and portion control, and maintaining consistency in taste and quality. The Chef will supervise kitchen staff, train junior cooks, and ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards. Responsibilities also include ordering and managing inventory of ingredients, monitoring food costs, and minimizing waste. The Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure timely meal preparation for dine-in, takeout, and catering services, and contribute to creating new dishes that reflect regional Indian flavours.
