(Ethnic Food Cook) - Italian
We are looking for well-experienced Ethnic Food Cook for “10tation Event Catering” located at 232 Norseman Street, Etobicoke, ON, M8Z 2R4 Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
Prepare and cook a wide range of traditional and modern Italian dishes, including antipasti, fresh and dried pastas, risottos, gnocchi, braised meats, seafood, and regional specialties, in alignment with standardized recipes and event-specific requirements.
Accurately measure, portion, and assemble ingredients for sauces, stocks, condiments, and main dishes, ensuring readiness and organization for smooth execution during high-volume catering operations.
Set up and maintain a clean, efficient, and well-stocked workstation, monitoring ingredient levels and replenishing Italian staples such as herbs, cheeses, oils, and cured meats to prevent delays in food preparation.
Utilize advanced Italian cooking techniques including sautéing, braising, grilling, and baking, while closely monitoring temperature, timing, and texture to deliver consistently high-quality results.
Plate and present Italian dishes with precision and aesthetic appeal, ensuring each item aligns with 10tation’s presentation standards for fine catering events.
Perform regular quality checks on all dishes and components, assessing taste, consistency, seasoning, and visual appearance to ensure excellence before service.
Interact professionally with clients or guests during chef-attended stations or live cooking activations, demonstrating product knowledge and enhancing the guest experience.
Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and allergen control procedures in compliance with Ontario regulations and internal company policies.
Execute proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients including cheeses, proteins, and prepared sauces, ensuring product freshness and minimizing waste.
Contribute to a safe, clean, and collaborative kitchen environment, supporting team members, upholding occupational health standards, and participating in efficient event-day kitchen workflows.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary school or equivalent
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the food industry
Language: English
Annual Salary: $56,200 to $58,000 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
