Position Summary - The Housekeeping Supervisor carries out the overall direction and guidance in the area of Housekeeping and Laundry. The Supervisor guides the day-to-day operation for the rooms, public areas and laundry to the standards of the resort and make sure assignments are completed in a timely manner.
Salary: 24.04 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Must be available to work any assigned and required shift including Early morning, Evening, Morning, Day, Weekend and holidays.

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of industry experience.
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities
Tasks
Supervises the day-to-day cleaning and servicing of all the guest rooms to make sure all rooms meet the cleanliness standards of the resort.
Maintains a safety culture within the housekeeping department, ensuring active departmental participation, adherence, and awareness to Hotel and WorkSafe BC standards.
Must be flexible to perform the duties of Room Attendant, Laundry Attendant and/or Houseman when required by business levels.
Oversee and supervise outside locations public area cleaning of such as the Ski Hill, Golf Courses, and RV areas as necessary.
· Responsible for the organization and delegation of work assignments for all housekeeping associates using HotSOS/REX.
· Ensures that Clean up to 14 credits per shift
(1 credit is equivalent 30 minutes of cleaning according to cleanliness standards, a credit value is assigned to each guest room/suite/cabin based on its size and complexity
· Deliver daily communication with the team i.e. pre shift briefing, calisthenics, supervise distribution of work.
· Assists in ensuring the Laundry Department is working effectively and efficiently to support the Linen needs of the Resort (Food and Beverage, Healing Springs Spa and Housekeeping)
· Assists in quarterly inventory of all linen
· Train all Room Attendants in all aspects of cleaning and servicing the guest rooms to meet the standards of the resort.
· Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues using HotSOS work order system.
· Respond promptly to guest complaints with the Front Desk team and follow up directly with guests to ensure that their concerns have been resolved.
· Conduct daily inspections using tablet touchscreen technology on HotSOS, of guest rooms and public areas,
· Coach employees on deficiencies, and provide corrective action where appropriate
· Supervises Housekeeping and all related areas in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper or Director of Lodging and Guest Experience
Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping
Assist the Executive Housekeeper with ordering supplies and ensuring that proper purchasing procedures are followed (Purchase Order numbers and correct department GL codes).
Treat all employees fairly and consistently as outlined in the policies of the resort.
Administer the lost & found operation to ensure that all procedures are followed and items are distributed expediently.
· Co-operate and accept other assignments as and when required.
· Any other duties as per business requirements.
