The Sales Manager is responsible for generating and developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and achieving revenue targets for the DoubleTree by Hilton Toronto Downtown. The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with a strong understanding of the Toronto hospitality market, corporate accounts, group segments, and event sales. This position plays a key role in maximizing hotel revenue through proactive selling, strategic planning, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver an exceptional guest and client experience.

• Salary: $81,113 per annum less all deductions required by law, paid bi-weekly.

• Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, 40 hours per week.
• Benefits: discounted hotel stays rates as per availability. Extended health benefit, premium paid by the employer. Meal discounts in the hotel restaurant. Employee may be eligible for bonus maximum up to 10% of annual wage depending on the company’s business performance in that particular calendar year.

• Employment conditions: Flexible schedule required, including occasional evenings, weekends and holidays and travel for client events or trade shows, as per business needs.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business administration, marketing, communications, Hospitality Management OR related.
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of hotel sales experience. Preferably within an upper-upscale or branded property (Hilton experience is an asset).
Proven success in achieving sales targets and managing key account in the Toronto market.Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitor analysis, and revenue management principles is required.
Computer knowledge: Experience using hotel sales systems such as Delphi, Opera PMS, and Hilton OnQ is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Ms Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue goals in rooms, meetings, and catering segments.
Actively solicit new business through prospecting, cold calls, networking, and client visits.
Manage a portfolio of key accounts within assigned market segments (Corporate, Association, Government, SMERF, or Tour & Travel).
Negotiate contracts, rates, and packages in alignment with hotel revenue management strategies and Hilton brand standards.
Prepare and present proposals, bids, and contracts that effectively close business opportunities.
Collaborate with the Revenue Manager to optimize pricing and inventory based on market trends and demand forecasts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat and referral business.
Conduct regular client meetings, site inspections, and entertainment activities to maintain visibility in the market.
Handle client inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information and activity records in the sales CRM system (Delphi or similar).
Participate in developing and implementing local marketing initiatives, promotions, and partnerships.
Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to generate new leads.
Work with the marketing team to support online and offline campaigns, collateral development, and brand positioning.
Coordinate with the Catering, Banquets, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless execution of group events and meetings.
Collaborate with the Hilton Worldwide Sales team to leverage brand-wide accounts and initiatives.
Participate in regular sales meetings, forecasting sessions, and performance reviews.
Supervise and train junior staff.
