Salary: $56,160 / Annually ((less all deductions required by law, paid bi-weekly) -This salary is inclusive of holiday pay and/or any overtime hours worked by the Employee.

Languages: English
Education: High School certificate OR Equivalent Experience. Education in Culinary Arts or related field is an asset.
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of professional experience
Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate (can be obtained and provide within 3 weeks of commencing employment
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities
● Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
● Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff.
● Supervise activities of cooks and other kitchen workers.
● Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
● Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods on daily basis and for special guests, functions, and events such as banquets, buffets.
● Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
● Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs.
● Ensure food meets quality standards.
● Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
● Perform cleaning duties of the workstation.
● Any other duties as assigned.
