We are looking for well experienced Assistant Cook for “Broadstreet Properties Ltd” located at 700 Petersen Road Campbell River, BC V9W 3H7 Canada; However, you will be required to work at various locations in the region.

JOB DUTIES:
Assist the cook or chef in preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes as per the resort menu.
Wash, peel, and cut vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients needed for meal preparation.
Prepare simple food items such as salads, sandwiches, soups, and sauces under supervision.
Assist in portioning, plating, and garnishing food items according to presentation standards.
Maintain proper storage of ingredients, ensuring freshness, rotation, and labeling of all food products.
Clean, sanitize, and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Stock refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage with supplies and ingredients as required.
Receive and store deliveries, verifying quantity and quality of items received.
Follow all hygiene, food safety, and sanitation procedures as per resort and regulatory standards.
Dispose of waste properly and maintain cleanliness of dishwashing and prep areas.
Assist with inventory checks and notify supervisors of low stock levels or equipment issues.
Support cooks and chefs during busy service hours by organizing prep and ensuring a smooth kitchen workflow.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the management.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary School or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience or equivalent.
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $20.40 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
