(Food Services Manager)
We are looking for a well-experienced Food Services Manager for a well-known events and catering firm, Paramount Eventspace, located at 222 Rowntree Dairy Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L 9T2 Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
Direct and oversee food and beverage operations for catered events, ensuring consistent service delivery and effective execution of client-specific dietary and allergen requirements, including gluten-free accommodations.
Establish and enforce operational procedures and service standards across catering functions, including controls for allergen handling and cross-contamination prevention.
Lead staffing operations by scheduling, assigning supervisory roles, and overseeing service teams, ensuring staff are trained in food safety and dietary compliance.
Manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue monitoring, while accounting for specialized dietary menu requirements.
Oversee procurement and inventory, ensuring availability and proper handling of ingredients for allergen-sensitive and gluten-free meal preparation.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations, including established allergen management practices.
Act as the primary point of escalation for client concerns, including dietary restrictions and food allergies, ensuring effective resolution and client satisfaction.
Collaborate with culinary teams to coordinate menus and service formats that accommodate diverse dietary needs within operational capacity.
Direct event planning and execution by coordinating teams and vendors, ensuring dietary requirements are clearly communicated and properly implemented.
Conduct regular inspections of kitchens and service areas to ensure cleanliness, readiness, and compliance with food safety and allergen control standards.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more experience preferably in the Food industry
Language: English
Preferred:
Demonstrated knowledge of food allergens, dietary restrictions, and gluten-free food handling practices, including cross-contamination prevention.
Experience in managing or supporting food service operations that accommodate allergen-sensitive and special diet requirements in a catering environment.
Hourly Wage: $36 to $39 for 30 to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
