We are looking for well experienced Cooks for “Broadstreet Properties Ltd” located at 700 Petersen Road Campbell River, BC V9W 3H7 Canada; However, you will be required to work at various locations in the region.

JOB DUTIES:
Independently organize and manage daily meal production for staff, overseeing preparation, timing, and service execution from start to finish.
Prepare, cook, and present complete meals to a consistently high standard, ensuring balance, quality, and professional presentation.
Apply extensive hands-on experience to execute a wide range of dishes efficiently, maintaining consistency across multiple service days.
Assess and respond to dietary requirements, allergies, and special requests by adjusting preparation methods while maintaining food safety and quality.
Act as the lead point of continuity in the kitchen, setting work pace, priorities, and expectations during daily operations.
Coordinate kitchen setup and breakdown activities, ensuring workstations, ingredients, and equipment are properly prepared and maintained.
Provide practical guidance and direction to kitchen helpers and assistants, drawing on experience to support correct techniques and efficient workflow.
Monitor ingredient usage and food handling practices, making informed decisions to reduce waste and maintain freshness.
Maintain oversight of kitchen equipment condition and functionality, identifying issues that could impact service or food quality.
Consistently uphold and model high standards of sanitation, hygiene, and professionalism within the kitchen environment.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary School or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more in the cooking field.
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $20.40 for 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
