We are looking for a well experienced Specialist Chef- Greek for a well-known event and catering firm “Paramount Eventspace” located at 222 Rowntree Dairy Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L 9T2 Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
Oversee the preparation and execution of authentic Greek cuisine within the assigned kitchen section, specializing in grilled and roasted meats, seafood, and protein-focused dishes while ensuring consistency with menu specifications and event standards.
Coordinate daily production for large-scale catering and banquet events, planning quantities and workflow to support high-volume preparation of Greek hot entrées across buffet and plated service formats.
Prepare and cook traditional Greek dishes such as souvlaki, kebobs, grilled lamb, chicken, and seafood using authentic techniques including marination, open-flame grilling, and herb- and citrus-based seasoning profiles.
Supervise and direct cooks in the preparation of meats and seafood, assigning tasks related to butchery, portioning, marination, and cooking to maintain quality, efficiency, and consistency.
Execute specialized grilling, roasting, and searing techniques for meats and seafood, ensuring proper doneness, texture, flavour, and presentation during high-volume production.
Prepare authentic Greek accompaniments and sauces including tzatziki, ladolemono, yogurt-based sauces, and herb marinades to complement grilled and roasted dishes.
Monitor the quality and presentation of meat and seafood dishes during service, making real-time adjustments to maintain consistency and adherence to Greek culinary standards.
Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure timely execution and synchronization of protein dishes with salads, sides, rice, and plated components during banquet and catering service.
Manage inventory and storage of meats, seafood, and other perishable ingredients, ensuring proper handling, rotation, and minimal waste within the assigned kitchen section.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards, particularly in the handling, preparation, and cooking of raw and cooked meats and seafood.
Perquisites:
Education: Bachelor’s or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience within the Food Industry.
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $36 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
