BJS Transport, located on Gateway Blvd, Brampton, ON (L6T 0J6), is a trusted and growing logistics provider known for reliability, safety, and exceptional service. We are currently seeking a dedicated Long-Haul Truck Driver to join our team and support our expanding operations. You will be responsible for transporting goods across long distances safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate must be dependable, safety‑focused, and experienced in operating large commercial vehicles
Wage: $36.15 per hour for 35 to 45 hours per week. Overtime applies after 44 hours per week
Job Duties
· Load & transport materials and goods safely.
· Inspect vehicle for safety and ensure compliance with DOT requirements.
· Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
· Maintain logs of work/rest periods, kilometers, fuel, and toll receipts
· Collect and verify delivery instructions.
· Secure loads using chains, straps and other approved methods.
· Monitor road conditions and follow all safety rules.
· Ensure safe and timely delivery of loads
· Inspect truck before and after each trip and report any damages.
· Keep truck and associated equipment clean and in good working order.
· Plan routes using satellite tracking and navigation systems.
· Refuel vehicle and perform basic maintenance checks.
· Carefully manoeuvre truck into loading docks and supervise the loading and unloading of cargo.
· Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers and team members.
· Prioritize safety at all times
Desired experience & Skills
· 1-2 years
· Proficient in driving, maneuvering and parking large trucks.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
· Clean driving abstract.
· Ability to maintain accurate customer itineraries and delivery documentation
Education:
Secondary school.
AZ license or Class 1/A license
