As our fleet continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Mechanic Helper to support our maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build hands‑on experience in the mechanical and transportation industry. You will assist mechanics and technicians in repairing, maintaining, and servicing trucks, trailers, and related equipment. The ideal candidate must be physically capable, safety‑focused, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced shop environment.
Key responsibilities:
· Assist in repairing, maintaining, and installing machinery, vehicle components and equipment
· Support mechanical body repairs on trucks and trailers
· Safely operate hand tools and power tools
· Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from work areas
· Help diagnose vehicle issues and perform routine inspections
· Assist in repairing, maintaining, and installing refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning systems
· Strictly follow safety guidelines and protocols ensuring a safe working environment
· Record maintenance activities as directed
· Clean, organize, and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment
· Support general shop duties and additional tasks as assigned
Desired Experience and Skills
· 7 months to 1 year experience.
· Physical strength and dexterity to handle heavy tools, parts and equipment.
· Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
· Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
· Good teamwork and communication skills
· Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious
Wages are $36.15 per hour for 35-40 hours per week. Overtime applies after 44 hours per week
