· Salary: 20.75 hourly
· Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, 30 to 40 hours per week

· Reliable transportation is essential due to lack of public transportation. Staff housing available on site, only for the employee for $250/month. This includes utilities, cable TV, wifi. A shuttle to town two times a week.

Languages: English
Education: Completion of a program in bartending OR completion of courses in mixing drinks is an asset.
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of recent experience in bartending/mixing.
Credentials: current Serving It Right Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities and tasks
As the head bartender you will assist in managing daily bar operations, lead staff, and guarantee premium guest experiences. While performing the same duties as the bartender such as mix drinks, you will oversee inventory and quality control, assist in training personnel, and enforce safety and sanitation regulations to drive resort profitability.
· Organize and set up bar with necessary ingredients before service begins.
· Maintain knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits on the menu to answer guest questions and provide excellent service.
· Provide consistent and high-quality service at all times.
· Adhere to recipes.
· Assist in developing and updating the bar menu with seasonal, trend-setting, and innovative craft cocktails and participate in create new recipes, when required.
· Advise clients on wine selection.
· Inform customers regarding contents of cocktails or other drinks.
· Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
· Mix liquor, soft drinks, water and other ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
· Prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages for food and beverage servers or serve directly to patrons.
· Pour wine and beer.
· Set up and take down bar at banquets and functions with all necessary supplies.
· Provide bar service at banquets and functions.
· Clean bar area and wash glassware
· Serve food or snacks.
· Collect cash, credit/debit cards or other payment for beverages
· Operate cash register
· Record and balance beverage sales
· Address customers' complaints or concerns
· Assist in Maintaining inventory and control of bar stock.

· Work with the Restaurant Manager to maximize sales, reduce waste, and enforce cost-control policies.
· Secure liquor cabinets, fridges, and storage areas, and communicate closing times and last call effectively.
· Ensure the bar area, storage rooms, and glassware are immaculately cleaned and strictly compliant with local health codes and HACCP/public health standards.
· Ensure compliance with provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
· Organize and participate in training sessions on standard drink recipes, mixology, up-selling techniques, and hospitality standards.
· Assist management in coaching, training and supervising and motivating bar team members.
· Stop serving guests alcohol after it is determined they have consumed too much.
· Any other duties as per business requirements.
