Bakery Supervisor
We are looking for a well-experienced Bakery Supervisor to work for Sula Chai Baked Goods Inc. located at 260 East 5th Ave East Vancouver, BC V5T 1H3.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of bakery staff to ensure the efficient production and presentation of fresh breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, croissants, cruffins, focaccia, and other baked goods.
Monitor product quality, consistency, portioning, and presentation to ensure all bakery items meet established recipes, quality standards, and customer expectations.
Prepare and organize daily production schedules based on customer demand, catering orders, and inventory requirements to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
Train, mentor, and supervise bakery personnel on baking techniques, food preparation procedures, sanitation practices, workplace safety, and quality control standards.
Monitor inventory levels, requisition bakery ingredients and supplies, verify deliveries, and maintain proper storage to ensure freshness and minimize product loss.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety regulations by conducting routine inspections of bakery equipment, workstations, and food handling practices.
Assist in preparing specialty bakery items and seasonal products during peak business periods while ensuring consistency in recipes and production standards.
Coordinate with café management to support daily operations, fulfill catering and wholesale bakery orders, resolve production issues, and maintain efficient workflow within the bakery department.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the food industry
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $38 to $40 for 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
