We are looking for a well experienced Food Safety Officer for Petite Thuet located at 235 Carlaw Avenue, #101 Toronto, ON M4M 2S1, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
Develop, implement, and monitor food safety and sanitation procedures for the preparation and handling of artisan breads, pastries, desserts, sandwiches, salads, prepared meals, and frozen food items.
Conduct regular inspections of bakery production areas, café service areas, retail display counters, storage rooms, refrigerators, freezers, and packaging areas to ensure safe and hygienic operations.
Monitor temperature controls for chilled ingredients, dairy products, meats, prepared foods, frozen products, baked goods, and ready-to-eat items to maintain product safety and quality.
Ensure proper food handling, allergen control, labelling, product rotation, expiry-date monitoring, and prevention of cross-contamination between bakery, café, and prepared-food products.
Maintain food safety records, cleaning schedules, temperature logs, receiving records, inspection reports, corrective action records, and other compliance documentation.
Train bakers, kitchen staff, café staff, and retail employees on safe food handling, personal hygiene, sanitation standards, allergen awareness, and proper storage procedures.
Investigate food safety issues, customer complaints, spoilage concerns, contamination risks, or product quality concerns and recommend corrective actions to management.
Prerequisites:
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 5 years or more than 5 years of experience
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $40.20 to $42.20 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
