(Ethnic Food Cook- Sri Lankan and South Indian)
We are looking for well experienced Ethnic Food Cook- Sri Lankan and South Indian for a well-known events and catering firm “Paramount” located at 222 ROWNTREE DAIRY RD Woodbridge, ON L4L 9T2 Canada.

Job Duties:
Prepare, season, and cook authentic Sri Lankan and South Indian dishes, including curries, biryanis, dosas, idlis, vadas, hoppers, string hoppers, kottu roti, sambols, chutneys, and other traditional regional specialties for banquet and catering services.
Plan and organize food preparation to ensure the timely production of high-quality meals for weddings, corporate events, social gatherings, and other high-volume functions.
Prepare and portion ingredients according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency in flavour, presentation, and portion sizes while accommodating event-specific menus.
Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients and finished dishes, maintaining the authenticity of traditional recipes and adhering to the company's quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area while complying with food safety, sanitation, and occupational health and safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels of spices, specialty ingredients, and kitchen supplies used in Sri Lankan and South Indian cuisine, and report replenishment requirements to ensure uninterrupted food production.
Assist with menu preparation by recommending traditional dishes and preparation techniques that support the diverse culinary offerings for catered events and banquet functions.
Work collaboratively with chefs and other kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation, meet production schedules, and ensure efficient kitchen operations during high-volume service periods.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 3 to less than 5 years of experience in handling high-volume catering food operations
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $37 to $38 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
