The successful candidates will work on commercial and residential construction projects at various locations and will be responsible for drywall installation, finishing, and related construction activities.

Job duties
The Drywall Installer will perform the following duties:
- Review construction drawings, blueprints and project specifications to determine drywall installation requirements.
- Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings according to project specifications.
- Position and fasten drywall panels securely to wood or metal framing, studs and joists.
- Measure, fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place ceiling panels for acoustic and coffered ceiling systems.
- Install metal corner beads and related finishing components to protect and finish exterior corners.
- Apply joint compound to drywall joints, nail or screw indentations, holes and cracks using appropriate drywall finishing tools.
- Apply drywall tape over joints and embed the tape into joint compound to produce properly finished surfaces.
- Perform drywall measuring, cutting, fitting and installation while maintaining accurate alignment and workmanship.
- Work safely at heights using scaffolding, swing stages and other approved working platforms when required.
- Assemble and install scaffolding, falsework and other temporary working platforms as required for drywall installation activities.
- Coordinate work with supervisors and other construction workers to complete assigned drywall work according to project requirements and schedules.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area and follow established construction-site safety procedures.
Employment requirements
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant drywall installation/construction experience.
Candidates should be comfortable working in dusty and noisy construction environments and at heights. The position requires bending, crouching, kneeling, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination and handling loads of up to 23 kg (50 lbs.). Candidates should be dependable, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
