(Food Services Manager - Night Shift)
We are looking for a well-experienced Food Services Manager - Night Shift for Summerhill Market located at 446 Summerhill Ave, Toronto, ON M4W 2E4, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, direct and oversee food service operations during evening and overnight shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and service readiness.
Supervise and coordinate staff working in food preparation, production, packaging, sanitation, receiving and other assigned areas of responsibility.
Prepare staff schedules, assign duties, monitor attendance and performance, and ensure adequate overnight staffing based on production and operational requirements.
Ensure food is prepared, handled, packaged, labelled, stored and rotated according to established quality, food-safety and sanitation standards.
Monitor overnight food production, portioning, presentation and order completion to ensure products meet company specifications and are ready for morning operations.
Monitor inventories of ingredients, prepared foods, packaging and operating supplies; identify shortages and coordinate requisitions or replenishment.
Control food and labour costs by monitoring production levels, minimizing waste, maintaining accurate records and using staff and supplies efficiently.
Train and support staff in job duties, safe equipment use, food handling, sanitation, workplace safety and established operating procedures.
Address operational issues, equipment concerns, quality deficiencies and staff matters arising during the night shift, and implement timely corrective action.
Maintain production, inventory, temperature, sanitation and shift records, and communicate completed work, outstanding matters and priorities to daytime management.
Prerequisites:
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in food service operations, including staff supervision and operational coordination.
Language: English
Annual Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 per year for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Work Location: On site; various work locations may be required
