(Food Service Manager)
Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill - Lindsay is looking for an experienced Food Service Manager for its restaurant located at 1337 WOODSTREAM AVE, OSHAWA, ON, L1K 0J4

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily restaurant operations, including dining-room, bar and takeout service, to maintain efficient operations and consistent service standards.
Develop, implement and monitor procedures for guest reception, order flow, table service, beverage service, opening and closing, and coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate food-service employees, including servers, hosts and bartenders, in menu knowledge, guest service, POS procedures and restaurant policies.
Prepare employee schedules based on business volumes and operating needs; monitor attendance, performance and productivity and take appropriate corrective action.
Manage food, beverage and restaurant-supply purchasing and inventory, including stock levels, orders, deliveries, storage, waste control and availability of supplies.
Monitor restaurant sales, labour costs, food and beverage costs and operating expenses; identify variances and implement measures to improve efficiency and profitability.
Oversee guest relations and resolve complaints, dietary requests, allergy concerns, special occasions and group-dining arrangements to maintain a consistent guest experience.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, occupational health and safety and responsible-alcohol-service requirements, and maintain a safe and professionally operated restaurant.
Prerequisites:
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $37.00 - $39.00 per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
Benefits: 4% vacation pay
