(Mechanical Engineering Technologist - Automotive Parts)
We are looking for a well-experienced Mechanical Engineering Technologist - Automotive Parts for Richmond Hill Hyundai located at 11188 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1K9, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze vehicle mechanical systems, components, service requirements and manufacturer specifications to support accurate automotive parts and service decisions.
Interpret technical manuals, service specifications, engineering documentation and manufacturer repair procedures to determine appropriate parts and service solutions.
Assess and test braking, steering, suspension, drivetrain, engine, cooling, climate-control and electrical or mechanical components to evaluate performance and service needs.
Analyze recurring mechanical issues and diagnostic findings and recommend appropriate repair, replacement, maintenance or parts solutions.
Prepare and review parts, material, labour and service estimates for technical accuracy and appropriate component quantities.
Inspect completed service and parts-related work for compliance with manufacturer specifications, dealership procedures and applicable technical standards.
Maintain technical standards, service procedures, preventive maintenance schedules and parts-control processes to improve operational reliability and efficiency.
Prepare technical reports on vehicle inspections, component performance, service findings, parts requirements, maintenance activities and corrective actions.
Guide service and parts personnel on vehicle systems, component selection, manufacturer requirements and recommended service solutions.
Maintain accurate technical records and recommend improvements to automotive service procedures, parts-control practices and preventive maintenance processes.
Prerequisites:
Education: College/CEGEP diploma in mechanical engineering technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience in automotive mechanical systems, component assessment or technical service support.
Language: English
Hourly Wage: $38.00 per hour for 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
