We are looking for an experienced Cook for Aramark Canada Ltd. located at 1201 15 Avenue, Didsbury, AB T0M 0W0, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes for residents in accordance with approved menus, standardized recipes, dietary requirements and scheduled meal-service times.
Coordinate food preparation and cooking so that all meal components are ready for service at the required time, including during peak and non-peak production periods.
Monitor the quantity of food prepared against forecasted demand and adjust production appropriately to support consistent service while minimizing waste.
Check the quality, freshness, appearance and temperature of ingredients and prepared food, and communicate any quality or service concerns promptly to management and relevant staff.
Follow prescribed methods of food preparation, cooking times and portion sizes to ensure that meals meet recipe, quality and nutritional standards.
Label, date, store and rotate food products correctly, maintaining appropriate temperatures and following all food-safety and storage requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary workstation, including kitchen equipment, utensils, preparation surfaces and storage areas.
Safely operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, steamers, slicers, choppers and knives, and report equipment concerns or safety hazards immediately.
Coordinate with servers and dining-service staff regarding correct portions, meal components, dietary instructions and service requirements.
Monitor ingredient and supply levels and advise management of food products and kitchen supplies required for upcoming production plans.
Assist in other kitchen or food-service areas as operationally required and complete related duties assigned by the supervisor or management team.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant cooking experience.
Language: English
Hourly Wage: $18.65 per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
Work Location and Schedule: On site; morning, day, evening, shift and weekend work
