Umai Sushi is inviting qualified current employees who are interested in career advancement to apply internally for the position of Restaurant Assistant Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize and coordinate daily restaurant operations.
Evaluate daily operations and monitor staff performance.
Prepare and coordinate employee work schedules.
Supervise, train and provide guidance to restaurant staff.
Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of employees.
Implement and maintain restaurant operational procedures and service standards.
Monitor inventory and ensure adequate levels of food, beverages and restaurant supplies.
Ensure compliance with health, food safety, sanitation and workplace safety requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding food and other operational supplies.
Monitor operating costs and assist with budget and cost-control measures.
Assist with catering arrangements and special functions, when required.
Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
Maintain high standards of customer service and support a positive dining experience.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience in restaurant or food-service operations. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organizational and customer-service skills and be capable of supervising employees in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
